Catherine Barrena is a personal injury litigation paralegal. Since joining the firm in 2011, she has concentrated her work on ordering medical records, drafting demands, discovery responses and pleadings as well as setting up initial insurance claims and assisting with subrogation liens. While the majority of her experience lies in personal injury claims, she also has substantial experience in class action pharmaceutical litigation and medical malpractice.
Catherine is 100% dedicated to providing understanding and empathy to clients, along with personal attention to handling the many complications that arise from tragedy and loss. She is passionate about her career and gets great reward when she is able to help clients get through a tough time and reach a positive outcome. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia State University in 2006, and in 2007 she received her Paralegal Certificate from Emory University.
In her time away from the office, Catherine loves to bake, to do yoga, and to spend time with her family. Catherine and her husband keep busy by raising four children and taking care of their three dogs and cat. They attend The Square Church in Smyrna, Georgia and they can be found cheering on the Braves at SunTrust Park.
